Liza worked in Parliament for 3 years where she, inter alia, dealt with legislation. She then worked for several Cabinet Ministers in Parliament for 7 years, one of whom was the Minister of Home Affairs, the Department responsible for Immigration. She moved to George in 1994 and was employed at the Home Affairs Regional Office for 9 years in managerial capacity.

She was, inter alia, a member of the Regional Committee who approved/rejected temporary residence applications and conducted Permanent Residence interviews in the region for the Immigration Selection Board. She has shown herself as an outstanding officer since her appointment and received Cum Laude in terms of the previous Immigration Legislation.

During beginning 2003, she attended a training course on the new Legislation, Act 13 of 2002 and again received Cum laude. During December 2002, she was invited by a Cape Town Immigration Company to ESTABLISH A FRANCHISE IN THE SOUTHERN CAPE and made history by opening the first ever private immigration company in the Southern Cape and became the sole proprietor of the George Office on 1 April 2003. However, she achieved such success that she decided to 'fly' solo as from 1 October 2003 under her own company.

With many years of experience in the corporate world prior to entering the civil service, as well as several years in the Department of Home Affairs, you can be assured of the highest quality applications at all times. Liza is also the proud owner of a Certificate as Competent Toastmaster from Toastmasters International. Liza was awarded National Finalist of the Year in the 2006 Business Woman of the Year Competition hosted by the SA Council for Business Woman

During July 2007, Liza did it again by being awarded the Regional Winner in the Micro Category of the 2007 Business Woman of the Year co-ordinated and run by the SA Council for Businesswomen, the organization at the heart of the drive for the empowerment of business women throughout South Africa.

Immigration Southern Cape is proud to announce Rian Pienaar as a new partner with effect from January 2008. He is an Immigration Specialist with more than 10 years experience in the Department of Home Affairs. During 2002, he was awarded Employee of the Year for the

Western Cape Region and has served on committees for Sport and Recreation, Soccer World Cup 2010 and Transformation.

Prior to his departure from the Department of Home Affairs, he was appointed as Acting Assistant Director: Immigration Services.
